|Recommended: YesUniversity oaks resident — When me and my roommates moved in the apartment was dirty and there was many things broken, but they were very fast with fixing all these problems.

Thank you!
|Recommended: YesI just moved in — This place is super nice for a starter apartment, was surprised to see no trashcan was provided but thats fine. A lot of things I thought would be provided weren't but it just came down to me not checking the provided info. The laundry having to be paid for kinda sucks but it just comes with the territory.
Thank you for giving your time to leave us a review. Wishing you a happy living experience with our community!
|Recommended: YesConcerns for University Oaks — The move in process and parking was kind of rough after getting welcome packets. Parking was so limited and not being able to prop the door open was tough. The inspection was extremely long and asked the same questions multiple times. I also had issues signing and submitting my inspection which caused all photos to delete and me to restart. The apartment and the complex are nice with fairly updated appliances
We apologize for the difficulties that occurred upon moving in. Hopefully you can now enjoy your new apartment!
|Recommended: Yes8 10 — Beautiful place to live in. I have a single bedroom apartment, rent could be lower, but it’s much better than a dorm would ever be. And it looks like they update it yearly. My opinion It’s worth it, I can’t wait to experience it here.
Thank you for your honest review! I'm hoping we live up to your expectations and enjoy your time with us.
|Recommended: NoDo NOT rent an apartment from here. Management is shady and apartment was FILTHY when we moved in. Management was notified and did nothing about it. We cleaned the apartment ourselves and then they had the nerve to attempt a cleaning fee at the end of the lease. The rent is high the apartments are disgusting as are the halls, stairs and laundry rooms. Students and parents beware. Also reporting to the BBB.
As University Oaks is under new management, we try to be fair and take any complaint seriously. Please call the office if you would like to discuss this with us.
|Recommended: YesGreat Price — I loved the quality of the apartments for the amount I was paying each month. Parking during the school year near my apartment is sometimes a nightmare, but you can make it work. I lived in a 2-bedroom and the room sizes were different but both liveable. I am grateful for a furnished apartment at my age. I don't know if the apartment was cleaned properly before move in but it wasn't terrible. All around a good experience
Thank you for leaving an honest review! Your feedback helps us to fix issues and maintain good service and quality care of our residents.
|Recommended: YesI really love the space, I wish the rent wasn't so expensive though. The positives include a patio, in building washing machines, security and package delivery at the office. I think the garage spaces are a bit small, parking is manageable but not nearly enough spaces near buildings or for all the residents that apply. Mostly quiet but my neighbors decide to blast music almost every day.
Hi Lauren! Thank you so much for leaving us a review of the good, the bad, and the ugly! We are really glad you like it here and going forward we try to improve every day. That why this feedback is so important to us. :)
|Recommended: NoThis place is a joke. Parking is nothing but a nightmare if you would like to have a guest or your parent visit. So the office closes at 7 00 pm. They have a VISITOR LOT for VISITORS. So if you decide to visit after 7 and didn’t pre arrange and get a pass at the office, and to use the VISITOR LOT, your car will get towed- The Oakes has a very lucrative arrangement with City Service towing in Kent… city service starts cruising the lot after 7 looking for cars without a parking pass so they can tow you and charge you 129 tax and storage. I’m sure the Oakes gets a kick back The towing service is like a rat on a Cheeto . What is a visitor lot for then They already collect rent from the tenants but if you can’t arrange for a visit before 7 00 your guest gets towed. Seems like gouging to me.. PARENTS BEWARE.. MANY OTHER PLACES IN KENT FOR YOUR STUDENTS TO LIVE. AVOID THIS PLACE
Hello Ann. After we spoke today, I am very disappointed that you are unhappy with our parking policies. We strive for positivity and have the best of intentions for all our residents which, unfortunately, includes regulating our parking lots for them. I do hope you feel better about University Oaks after the arrangements that were made.
