|Recommended: NoThis apartment complex is dangerous. Tenants pay for parking passes but there are not enough spaces for them all to park. There isn't even enough room in the overflow parking spot because of visitors. Young ladies have to walk long distances in the dark. The front office has instructed residents to contact Kent State Police to escort residents to their apartments. Non-responsive management staff. They rip off their residents requiring a parking pass but there is no assurance of parking in the lot Very disappointed in this complex.

Aside from the Kent Police, we do have a security service that is also willing to escort any resident to their apartment. We do hope that your experience does improve. |Recommended: YesI have been a resident here since August of 2023 and only one month of that was normal internet being accessible. You have to use guest internet that you have to keep signing in to, meaning I've lost a lot of schoolwork to the internet disconnecting. I may be wrong since I only had normal internet for a short period of time, but I swear the guest internet is slower. I cannot hook my tv, Alexa, gaming systems and other personal devices to the internet, meaning most of the features the devices are meant for are useless. I got a gaming system and a tv for Christmas, both of which have little use without internet.
My overall experience has been positive, but this is making the experience go more and more sour every time I realize I can't do something because of the lack of non-guest internet.

|Recommended: YesUniversity oaks resident — When me and my roommates moved in the apartment was dirty and there was many things broken, but they were very fast with fixing all these problems.

|Recommended: YesI just moved in — This place is super nice for a starter apartment, was surprised to see no trashcan was provided but thats fine. A lot of things I thought would be provided weren't but it just came down to me not checking the provided info. The laundry having to be paid for kinda sucks but it just comes with the territory.

|Recommended: YesConcerns for University Oaks — The move in process and parking was kind of rough after getting welcome packets. Parking was so limited and not being able to prop the door open was tough. The inspection was extremely long and asked the same questions multiple times. I also had issues signing and submitting my inspection which caused all photos to delete and me to restart. The apartment and the complex are nice with fairly updated appliances

|Recommended: Yes8 10 — Beautiful place to live in. I have a single bedroom apartment, rent could be lower, but it’s much better than a dorm would ever be. And it looks like they update it yearly. My opinion It’s worth it, I can’t wait to experience it here.

|Recommended: NoDo NOT rent an apartment from here. Management is shady and apartment was FILTHY when we moved in. Management was notified and did nothing about it. We cleaned the apartment ourselves and then they had the nerve to attempt a cleaning fee at the end of the lease. The rent is high the apartments are disgusting as are the halls, stairs and laundry rooms. Students and parents beware. Also reporting to the BBB.
As University Oaks is under new management, we try to be fair and take any complaint seriously. Please call the office if you would like to discuss this with us.
|Recommended: YesGreat Price — I loved the quality of the apartments for the amount I was paying each month. Parking during the school year near my apartment is sometimes a nightmare, but you can make it work. I lived in a 2-bedroom and the room sizes were different but both liveable. I am grateful for a furnished apartment at my age. I don't know if the apartment was cleaned properly before move in but it wasn't terrible. All around a good experience
